By train...
The train station is on Lindau Isle. For short journeys, taxis can be found immediately outside of the train station. Travel by bus is also possible. Both bus lines 1 and 2 will travel to the stop called "Toscana." From the airport...
The closest airport is in Friedrichshafen. From there, a direct train can be taken to Lindau. The official website for the Friedrichshafen Airport (FDH) can be found under the tab "Links" and in the "Travel/Miscellaneous" list.
